Warehouse Operative

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our busy and friendly team. This is a hands-on role supporting the smooth operation of stock management and goods handling.

Hours of work:
Full-time Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Main duties include:

• To manage the efficient throughput of stock in and out of
the warehouse
• To co-ordinate incoming deliveries to maximise efficiency
• To check off all deliveries accurately, completing the
necessary paperwork
• To store stock logically and in an easy to find manner and
without loss
• To ensure the warehouse and yard are always maintained
in an organised and safe state
• To work in other departments on a temporary basis if
and when required to do so, including assisting with
maintenance duties and customer deliveries

Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse or stock handling experience preferable
  • Good physical fitness- ability to lift and move heavy items
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Forklift truck & driving licence essential
  • DIY skills preferable
