We have an exciting opportunity for a Machinery engineer to join our ever-growing garden machinery department.
With over 40 years of selling garden machinery, the business has gone from strength to strength, and we are looking for a team player who will help us to drive the department forward.
Applicants must have a good understanding of garden machinery with a practical approach to problem solving and engineering solutions. Must be willing to attend training courses required by machinery manufacturers.
A minimum of three years’ experience in mechanical engineering is essential.
Main duties will include:
- To efficiently carry out the service and repair work to all garden machinery
- To assist on the parts/information desk and place parts orders as required
- To deliver and collect machinery from customer premises, uphold the company image and high levels of customer service
- To carry out pre-delivery inspections on all new machines
- To maintain the workshop and equipment in a good, clean condition and ensure a safe, efficient environment.
- To assist on the shop floor. To offer technical and general advice to our customers.
Hours of work:
Full time Monday to Friday with the view to working some weekends to cover holidays, busy periods etc. Flexibility of hours required depending on workload.
