HYDRANGEA
A plant for cool conditions, it comes in shades of pink, blue, purple and white. Keep compost moist at all times. After flowering cut back and when all danger of frost is past, plant in the garden or in a patio pot.
KALANCHOES
Available all year round these easy to care for plants come in many colours and types. Let it dry out between watering and cut back after flowering.
SPATIPHYLLUM
Ideal for semi-shade. Keep moist in a warm bright room. Keep the leaves dusted.
BROMELIADS
A large family of plants which come in serveral types and colours. Available all year round and can be quite large. Must have a central reservoir for water and needs misting in dry or hot conditions.
BEGONIA REX
Varieties have brilliantly coloured heart shaped leaves in all colour of the rainbow. The 20cm Long leaves are a rich metallic green marbled with crimson, purple, pink, brown and silver. Delicate panicles of pink flowers provide further interest in winter. A sunny position is said to enhance the red colouration and shade intensifies the metallic sheen.
